Fiances don't like questing

They love puzzle battling though!

There are a few games here and there that my fiance loves. She really likes Hexic. She's fallen asleep playing Tetris. She even plays a song or two on Guitar Hero.

But Puzzle Quest? She's been late to work because of that game.

This excites me. I've finally found something that she likes to play and actually even gets anxious about it. Thank you Nintendo for getting behind casual games so much.

My biggest fear though is that she only ever likes casual games. I'm asking a lot but I would love for her to be able to get into the quest aspect of the game. She asked me about it and I wanted to tell her so bad how to play it but I just got overwhelmed thinking of all the explaining I would have to do.

That's the tough part.

I always thought that I would get her into games the same way I got into games - by starting from the beginning. Maybe play some Super Mario Bros. or Legend of Zelda - something from the NES era because it's colorful and slightly easier to pick up.

I just don't think it's going to work. I think she's mainly a puzzle kind of girl. And she doesn't like puzzles that don't give her time to think. She gets frustrated when the speed picks up in Tetris. This is how she makes decisions in real life too.

On highways, she stays in the fast lane until it's too late to get off the exit she didn't remember she needed and gets really crazy and drives on by. She'll stand in the aisle at the store and try out every paint combination before she eventually just gives up and looks for a second opinion. And then after she gets the second opinion, she'll realize that it's still up to her and now she's back where she started. She has to say everything she's thinking from beginning to end without missing a detail in order for her to process information.

I just can't imagine her being able to decide which door to go through when an Octorock is on her tail.
