Guitar Hero III Announced

MTV announced today the latest sequel to the popular Guitar Hero franchise, Guitar Hero III.

While they didn't list the game's entire songlist they did give us a few of the artists featured in GH III:

-JoJo
-Frankie J
-Hannah Montana
-Paris Hilton
-Amerie
-Brooke Hogan
-Beyonce
-Panic! At the Disco

MTV feels confident in the new direction that the franchise is taking saying that "R&B is the new Heavy Metal."

Harmonix is keeping a tight lip on the new Guitar Hero and keeping its big, fat mouth shut on the changes MTV is making to the game.
