EA Sells Tiger Woods Character On Xbox Live

EA has started selling the use of the Tiger Woods character in its newest golf game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007.

Tiger Woods is available, to gamers who wish to purchase him, for 350 points. He is not an unlockable character and so in order to play with him you must buy him.

"Plenty of gamers want to play with Tiger," says a rep for EA. "I mean, if they didn't, they wouldn't have bought the game - that's why we made him available."

Plenty of gamers have expressed anger towards this new approach of upselling that EA has taken but few are as angry as Michael Youngman of St. Paul, MN.

"I am so angry!"

According to the EA rep, in addition to the availability of Tiger as a playable character, EA also offers to use of clubs, golf balls and the actual game disc and plans to take similar approaches with future games.

"Not only will you be able to buy the boxes of our games, you'll also have the opportunity to buy the disc that the game comes on. You think you like our games now, wait until you can actually play them!"
