Wes Craven To Bring 'Music Of The Heart' To Consoles in 2007

Wes Craven has just announced that he will be bringing his movie, Music of the Heart, to Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2007.

"I've been interested in making video games for a while now," said Craven, director of A Nightmare on Elm Street. "I've looked at all of my movies and I think that Music of the Heart would translate the most into a video game."

Craven, director of Swamp Thing, said players will take on the role of a schoolteacher trying to teach violin to inner-city Harlem kids.

"It's kind of unique in the fact that instead of actually playing a game and enjoying it, you'll be just teaching kids violin which isn't too fun."

Craven, writer of The Hills Have Eyes, has often been skeptical of the video game industry for it's emphasis on entertainment.

"I just don't like it. It's not something I want my kids to be using. It can really hurt their development."

Wes Craven has been making films since 1972. Some of his more memorable films are The People Under the Stairs, Freddy Vs. Jason, and Vampire in Brooklyn. Remember those?
