Blizzard Announces 'World Of Chorecraft'

Blizzard announced their newest MMORPG, World of Chorecraft, at a press conference earlier this week.

"WoC takes all of the story, fighting and community aspects of WoW and throws them out the window," said Jeffrey Kaplan, lead game designer for Blizzard. "Instead, this game will focus mainly on the gathering of materials to make items."

According to Kaplan, there will be plenty of jewelcrafting, armorcrafting and weaponcrafting but only in WoW. WoC is completely about the material gathering.

"Sure, you'll be able to eventually make items out of the materials that you gather, but only if you are playing WoW. WoC will not contain that feature."

Kaplan says that WoC is being developed for all of those level 60 characters who just aren't quite bored with the game yet.

"We feel that this will be the turning point for most players. Finally, people will get bored of this game."

WoC will be in stores in the fourth quarter of 2007 or players can download it from Blizzard's web site in the third quarter. In the second quarter, Blizzard will be down by 4 points and in the first, no points will have been scored.

Hah great "news".

This game already exists though, well sort of. It's not blizzard related though. It's wurm

If you like things as digging a hole, watching a bar fill up 50 tries as you try to create a sword, getting raped by giant spiders & bears, and getting completely lost in the woods, this is the game for you.
