Creators Of “24: The Game” To Develop TV Show
02.28.06 - 2K Games and the FOX Broadcasting Company have announced today that they will develop a television series based on the hit videogame “24: The Game”.
“24: The Game: The Show” will employ the talents of Kiefer Sutherland, who voiced the game’s main character, CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) agent Jack Bauer. Also on the cast list is seasoned actor Dennis Haysbert, also known as President David Palmer within the acclaimed videogame.
Developed by 2K Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, “24: The Game” was hailed by critics for its high-quality storyline and the originality of the format in which it was presented. The game’s events transpire through in real-time for a period of 24 hours – with plot events changing wildly from hour to hour. An ominous ticking clock randomly appears to inform the player what time it is. After the gamer has finished his or her 24th hour, the game simply ends with Bauer saving the day, or with humanity (and freedom) being destroyed by a series of terrorist acts.
No word yet on who will play Kiefer Sutherland’s daughter, Kim Bauer – whose in-game likeness poses a striking resemblance to “The Girl Next Door” star, Elisha Cuthbert.
