Visteon And Nintendo Unveil GBA-Controlled Kia Rio
01.09.06 - Visteon and Nintendo unveiled a new Gameboy Advance-Controlled Kia Rio at the Consumer Electronics Show this week.
"We are proud to partner with Nintendo on this new project. We really feel that with a Gameboy controlled car, Visteon is about to hit the big time in innovation and family," said Michael Johnston, president and chief operating officer of Visteon Corp.
Nintendo is very excited about the car as well. Reggie Fils-Aime, chief marketing officer of Nintendo said, "This car is going to kick some major ass. With the power of the Gameboy Advance and the warranty of the Kia Rio, this car is really going to turn some heads. It will also bring families closer together and it even has the power to revive marriages that have ended in divorce."
According to Johnston, you can control the car to do any of the normal things a car would do like honk the horn, drive down the street and catch a Charizard at 20 feet.
"With our Charizard catching capabilities, the automobile industry will never be the same. Nor will the Pokemon catching industry."
Comments
The windshield is too small.
It also doesn't work with earlier 8-bit Kia models.
Look for my Atari Jaguar-controlled BMW Isetta.
