Nintendo.com To Add More Clutter To Site

01.16.06 - In a move announced Monday morning, Nintendo of America's website will be adding more content to its pages in an attempt to cram as much as possible into the design.

"We thought we would add more clutter to the site," explained website Design Manager David Wharton. "Even with all the pictures, text, ads, and convulted design, we just didn't feel it was...busy enough."

Nintendo of America plans to add 20% more animated flash pictures, 10% more frames, and an animated gif background image. The web designers also plan to make the menus more cumbersome so visitors have a hard time finding what they want.

"Eventually we hope the site will be crushed under its own weight," said Andy Hartpence, Web Content Supervisor.

People visiting the site in the future will also have to enter in secret codes formerly used by the KGB during the Cold War in order to unlock special content like wallpaper, AIM icons and game information.
