IGN Offices Damaged By Fire
1.24.06 - Following a freak accident that "seriously damaged" the offices of the IGN.com website, no new content will likely appear on the website for days, a report revealed.
Firefighters stated that while the official cause of the fire is still unknown, the evidence suggests it originated in the office of IGNCube editor-in-chief, Matt Cassamassina.
"There are traces of wax and other materials derived from candles in Mr. Kazaamarrina's [sic] workplace, as well as some badly burned incense sticks" explained Capt. Jerry Morrow of the Brisbane Fire Department in a written statement. "Those were all Fran's things. Fran's a girl, remember?" said Cassamassina, apparently in defense.
Word of the events occurred at the IGN headquarters spread like virtual wildfire over the Internet, sparking reactions from many people from different online communities. "You mean Cassamassina got out safely? [Expletive]" stated BrrnBaybeeBrrn69 of the Gamespot.com forums. Koolmodee1234 wrote, "o man dat sux, i rly hoep their all ok @ ign".
While all new content on the site will be disabled for the following days as previously stated, the editors at IGN all unanimously agreed that Burger King's new ad campaign for the website will premiere on time. Several interstitial ads featuring the not-at-all creepy "Burger King" will appear on the site starting tomorrow.
