United States Army Releases "Application" Game
12.20.05 - Following the success of America's Army, the United States Army has released a new flash game called The Power of Applying Yourself.
In The Power of Applying Yourself, new recruits will be asked to fill out an "application" that "signs them up" for the US Army.
"We wanted a game to show potential recruits what it's like to be in the United States Army and we accomplished that with America's Army," said Col. Flanvis Johnson. "With The Power of Applying Yourself, we wanted something that legally binds players to join the Army."
The game also features online play where players can meet up in a "station" and get haircuts. According to Johnson, "The difference between this and other online games is that you physically have to go to the recruiting station and stand 'on line' to wait for your haircut."
The game was developed by PopCap Games and is already being stolen by eBaum's World.

Another Popcap game so addictive that I've signed up for the Army three times!

I don't like how I had to wait 5 years before they would let me play again.

I've come to the conclusion that the game is far too linear.
You don't even have a choice on getting your hair cut! No styling options or anything...disappointing. You can't release a game like this after what San Andreas did.
And if you think those games who mock you when you "die" are bad... you don't want to go near this thing. You have to "say 'Yes Sir!" loud enough by mashing buttons or you get a cut scene of a drill sergeant just screaming and spitting in your face for two whole minutes.
And you can't skip it.
Unforgivable.
