[RUMORVILLE] Revolution To Be 64 Times As Powerful As Atari 2600?

12.07.05 - I'm back, friends! This time with a GEE-YOU-SEE bit of info that's likely to kindle the rumor fire pot. According to some friends of some developers, the codenamed Nintendo Revolution will be 64 times as powerful as the Atari 2600. This comes as a shock to the video game community, leading some to believe that the Revolution will be just as powerful as the Xbox 360 and the PS3. THIS IS GREAT NEWS!

"The buzz on the net is that the Revolution is going to be way weaker than the other systems. This just proves that it isn't true," says ninFAN, a poster at Nintendo fansite, Nintendorks.com. "The Atari 2600 was pretty bad-*ss for it's time - the Revolution is going to be crazy!" You tell 'em ninFAN!

Still, crazy, drug-taking naysayers and experts have doubts as to whether this really means anything.

"I know that 64 is a big number - especially when you're talking multiplication," says Johnson Quarry, a leading mathematician at a leading college in a leading city. "It still doesn't mean that the Revolution is going to be more powerful than the Xbox 360 or the PS3. In fact, if that is the real number, than it only means that it'll be 2 times as powerful as the Gamecube,"

Regardless of whether or not the Revolution will be more powerful than the Xbox 360 or the PS3 - if these friends of some developers are to be believed then the Revolution will be faster and more powerful than the Atari 2600 - and that's a BIG generation gap.

I'm Audi 5000 dudes!
